Letter wrote by a palestinian living in Hambourg

As a Palestinian living in Germany, I say it clearly:
Germany is the country supplying weapons to the dirtiest army of our time.
This army is committing genocide in Gaza. The whole world knows it.
What Germany did to Jewish people was terrible.
That must never be forgotten. And it was a great guilt.
But: that guilt does not mean that Germany must now take part in a new genocide.
I am Palestinian and I live in Hamburg.
Just a few meters from me, Germany sends weapons through the port.
These weapons kill my family, my people, my friends, my neighbors.
With these weapons, my city Rafah was destroyed.
Do you feel what I feel?
What is happening in Palestine today is also part of Germany’s old guilt.
We all must stand together against war and violence.
One hand – one voice – enough!
